The Town of Carleton Place offers a wide variety of community halls that are available for rent both from the municipality, but also from area churches and organizations. Below is a list of venues available, as well as pictures, with applicable contact information. Please note that all venues are non-smoking.
 
Carleton Place Arena Reception Hall

Host to many events from wedding receptions to fundraisers, the reception hall at the Carleton Place Arena is the ideal place for large groups, offering many amenities which allow the organizers the freedom to run their event.

The reception hall offers:

  • Banquet Facilities for up to 405 people
  • Air Conditioning
  • Round Tables
  • PA System
  • Spacious Kitchen
  • Wet Bar Facilities
  • Fully licensed
  • Wheelchair accessibility

Groups wishing to obtain the profits from the bar to offset the cost of the rental can apply through the Community Enrichment Program.

Town Hall Auditorium

Located in our historic Town Hall overlooking the Mississippi River, the Town Hall Auditorium is the ideal venue for concerts, plays and community events.Carleton Place Town Hall Auditorium

The Auditorium offers:

  • Theatre type venue with a spacious backstage area
  • Capacity of 240
  • Round Tables
  • PA System
  • Wheelchair accessibility

Carleton Place Canoe Club (http://www.cpcanoeclub.com/)

This historic Town-owned facility is leased to the Canoe Club Executive for programs and events. The picturesque location offers the following:

  • Hall provides capacity for 210
  • Meeting room with 20 person capacity
  • Large deck overlooking the Mississippi River
  • Large, newly renovated kitchen with separate bar service area
  • Can be licensed by Special Occasion Permit (license includes the deck)
  • Air conditioning
  • Non-smoking facility
  • Wheelchair accessible

The main hall can be rented for Special Occasions, such as Weddings, Business Retreats, Anniversary , Family Reunions, Fundraising events.

Both the main hall and our meeting room, are also available on an hourly rate.

St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church

Beautiful and historic St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, located downtown Carleton Place, is available for concerts, theatre and other appropriate community ventures. Located at 39 Bridge Street.
The Church offers the following:
  • Capacity of 450
  • Organ
  • Choir area
  • Elevator
  • Parking lot
  • Fee structure to be negotiated according to the requirements

St. Andrew’s Church also boasts a hall which would be ideal for group functions.

The hall offers the following:

  • Capacity of 200-220
  • Kitchen
  • Curtain and removable partition walls
  • No alcohol

St. James Anglican Church

St. James Church, located on the corner of Edmund and Bell streets (225 Edmund Street), offers not only the church and hall amenities, but also St. James Park, located opposite the church on the banks of the Mississippi River.
