On the Water

Riverside Park

This park is located on the West end of John Street and runs along the Mississippi River. It includes two boat launches, a beautiful beach, volleyball court, large picnic area, and a splash pad for children.

Mississippi RiverWalk Trail (also in Nature Trail)

This nature trail runs from Princess Street to Anthony Curro Park alongside the River.

Bell Street Park

Located along the North side of the Mississippi River, enjoy sitting and watching the river flow by. This park is more catered to adults, and does not feature a children’s play area. Because it is situated very close to the dam, children should be accompanied by adults at all times.

Centennial Park

Carleton Place built this park in 1967, to celebrate the 100th birthday of Canada becoming a country. On the North side of the Mississippi River, Centennial Park includes a place to swim, picnic, play ball or use the playground.

Hackberry Park

Located on historic Mill Street, this is one of Carleton Place’s most unique parks. It features the rare and beautiful Hackberry tree, left over from a time when North America was still in the tropical zone. Enjoy a picnic along the Mississippi River with a view of the dam.

Memorial Park

This park lies in the centre of Town, a perfect place to sit and reflect. The park is maintained by both the Town and the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 192 and I.O.D.E.

St. James Park

This park on Bell Street is a very scenic horticultural park and lovely picnic area.
 

Play Structure

Anthony Curro Park

Located in the Mississippi Quays subdivision, the park includes play structures, swings, a basketball court, and a nature trail that runs alongside the river.

Begley Street Park

This park includes a play structure designed for the physically handicapped.

Carplace Park

Located on Joseph Street, this park has a very open area for children to safely play.

Commons Park

Located at the intersection of William and Bell Street, this park offers play structures, swings, basketball court, seesaws and benches for parents.

Ferrill Park

Located on Thomas Street, this park offers a safe playground for children, complete with a variety of creative play equipment and lots of space for running and jumping.

Findlay Park

This park combines a play area for children with a Shuffle Board and relaxation area for senior citizens.

Henry Farm Park

Located on Preston Drive, this park features a children’s play area including Hylan Creative Play Structures, swings and monkey bars. Also, it is conveniently located near a small wooded area.

McNeely Park

Located near the Mississippi Manor on Alexander Street, this park includes play structure, swings, large picnic area, and a basketball court.

Mississippi Manor Park

Land has been set aside in this sub division for a neighbourhood park, and development will be done by the residents of the area in the near future.

Westview Park

Located on Dunham Street, there is a play structure for children, an adult basketball court, and a kid’s basketball court.
