WHEREAS each year we recognize and celebrate every volunteer and each contribution they’re making to strengthen inclusivity and wellbeing in our communities; and
WHEREAS the theme for National Volunteer Week 2024 is Every Moment Matters and it highlights the importance of every volunteer and each contribution they make at a moment when we need support more than ever; and
WHEREAS the sharing of time, skills, empathy, and creativity is vital to the inclusivity, strength, and wellbeing of our communities; and
WHEREAS volunteers are fundamental to meeting this challenging moment.
NOW THEREFORE, I Mayor Toby Randell do hereby declare April 14-20, 2024 as National Volunteer Week in the Town of Carleton Place.
By coming together, committing support, and increasing our collective efforts an impact, we contribute exponentially to the quality of life we all strive for.
