WHEREAS, the theme of National Nursing Week is Changing Lives, Shaping Tomorrow; and
WHEREAS, Nursing Week is an opportunity to recognize the unique contributions of nurses individually and together working across all health care sectors, including those who remain on the frontlines in hospitals, primary care centres, and long-term care, but also those in public health, the community sector, education, and research; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Carleton Place recognizes and appreciates nurses for their dedication and commitment, and extend a thank you to all of the nurses who work tirelessly to make sure our community is safe.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT I, Toby Randell, Mayor of the Town of Carleton Place do hereby proclaim May 6th to 12th, 2024 to be Nursing Week.
